Onward and Upward: Graduate Students Saluted at Commencement

They started the day as students and ended it as colleagues, Jefferson president Dr. Stephen K. Klasko proudly told graduates at the 197th Commencement.

The two picture-perfect May 25 ceremonies honored those from the Sidney Kimmel Medical College and the Colleges of Life Sciences, PharmacyPopulation Health and Rehabilitation Sciences.

Deans from all the Colleges praised the University’s newest alumni for their resilience during the pandemic and bright futures.

Along with students walking at ceremonies earlier this month, the Class of 2021 boasted nearly 2,600 members.

“Go forth and make Jefferson proud,” urged Dr. Mark L. Tykocinski, provost and executive vice president for academic affairs.
